What is RAM? What are the types of RAM?  : -

Come, today we will know that RAM Kya hota hai.
What are the types of RAM?
What is the function of RAM, how many volts does the FSB of RAM mean, then friends, we will now have to say that RAM is Kya hota hai.
What are the types of RAM?

WHAT IS RAM  : -

RAM Full Form - Random Access Memory is RAM Kya hota hai. RAM is a type of unstable memory used in a computer.  (RAM) is a main type of data storage used in computers, usually located on the motherboard, which is a core part of the computer.  This type of memory is unstable and all information is lost in RAM when the computer is shut down.  Volatile memory is a temporary memory while ROM (Read-Only Memory) is a static memory.

Present day RAMs use integrated circuits to store device information.  It is a relatively expensive type of storage and the cost of storage is much higher than devices such as hard drives per unit.

HISTORY OF RAM IN HINDI  : -

History of RAM In the 1940s, the first magnetic core memory used in computers relied on the arrays of the memory magnetic ring.  The data was stored by magnetizing each ring.  Each ring had a bit of data store and the directions of magnetization used to indicate the zero or the forest.

Technological advances resulted in smaller devices that could store more information, but could rely on the same principles.

There are two types of RAM memory (There are two types of RAM memory)  : -

1. SRAM Static RAM

2. DRAM Dynamic RAM

1. SRAM Static RAM  : -

SRAM In this memory of RAM remains as long as the power supply is on.  It is unstable memory, its data is lost when power is lost.  SRAM uses a matrix of 6-chips-transistors, no capacitors are used in it.  It uses more chips than DRAM.  It costs more to make it.  It is used as cache memory.  It works faster than DRAM.

It consumes more electricity.

2. DRAM Dynamic RAM  : -

It is refreshed repeatedly to maintain DRAM data.  It is cheaper than SRAM.  It is generally used as system memory.  It is made of those memory cells which have a transistor and a capacitor.  It has a shorter life span than SRAM.  It works at a lower speed than SRAM.

It is used as a ram.  It also reduces power consumption.

TYPE OF RAM  : -

 S. NO     -     RAM         -        VOLT       -        MB TO GB

    1.        -     SD RAM   -         3.3 V        -        16 MB to 512 MB
    2.        -      DDR-1      -         2.5 V        -        128 MB to 1 GB
    3.        -      DDR-2      -         1.8 V        -        256 MB to 2 GB
    4.        -      DDR-3      -         1.5 V        -        2 GB to 4 GB
    5.        -      DDR-4      -         1.2 V        -        4GB to 8 GB

Note  : - Friends, if two RAMs are installed in the same motherboard and if both the FSB is not equal then in this case the RAM will work but the speed which should be obtained will not be available, then you will have to bring the equivalent FSB RAM.

Like your motherboard has DDR-1 128GB, its FSB is 444 and we are putting another DDR-1 128GB of RAM and its FSB is 555, so the RAM will not work, then you have to bring the equivalent FSB of RAM.
